The initiative brings together SK bioscience, global health nonprofit PATH, consulting firm Slalom and technology partner SK AX to create an evidence-based system that helps researchers evaluate vaccine candidates before they enter costly late-stage clinical trials.
The project is supported by the Ministry of Health and Social Protection together with the National Health Institute (Instituto Nacional de Salud), which will coordinate regulatory oversight and public health integration.
The collaboration targets two key challenges with MSD’s existing Zaire Ebola vaccine: complex manufacturing requirements and the need for ultra-cold storage.
