The centre will treat patients with a broad range of conditions, including stroke, spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy, autism spectrum disorder, muscular dystrophy, motor neuron disease, movement disorders, Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, ataxia, and dystonia.

Alzheimer’s disease affects more than 55 million people worldwide, and that figure is projected to nearly triple by 2050.

The expanded facility will combine inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient specialty clinics, orthopaedic and musculoskeletal care, neurosciences, sports medicine, physical medicine, and cardiac rehabilitation within a single coordinated care model.

The initiative combines “Care for Her” by Aster Hospitals & Clinics and “Elle by Medcare,” a premium programme offered through Medcare hospitals and medical centres.

Surgeons completed the entire procedure through a 16 mm incision while the patient remained fully awake, eliminating the need for general anaesthesia.

Unlike CAR-T therapy, which requires patient-specific cell modification and lengthy manufacturing, this treatment is delivered as a ready-to-use infusion, making it more accessible in standard hospital settings.

Closing this gap would benefit not only patients but also their families and healthcare systems while supporting the Gulf’s broader vision of compassionate, patient-centred care.

The transaction drew robust interest from both regional and international investors, with the orderbook reaching approximately US$1.6 billion, making the offering about 3.2 times oversubscribed.
