Amplifai Health joins World Economic Forum’s MINDS program for AI-driven healthcare innovation

Amplifai Health’s acceptance into this programme validates the company’s approach to implementing AI technology in practical healthcare settings where it can make an immediate difference in patient care.

SWITZERLAND—Amplifai Health, a pioneering health technology company specializing in thermal imaging and artificial intelligence for chronic disease management and sports medicine, has secured acceptance into the World Economic Forum’s prestigious MINDS programme.

MINDS, which stands for Meaningful, Intelligent, Novel, Deployable Solutions, represents a significant recognition for organizations advancing artificial intelligence from experimental stages into practical, real-world applications.

The company joins an elite global cohort that includes industry giants such as Siemens, Lenovo, Sanofi, and KPMG.

This selection underscores Amplifai Health’s commitment to developing AI solutions that deliver measurable outcomes and create tangible value within the healthcare sector.

Moving from pilot projects to real-world impact

The MINDS programme specifically highlights organizations that have successfully transitioned beyond preliminary pilots and proof-of-concept demonstrations.

Instead, it focuses on entities deploying AI systems that generate measurable outcomes and deliver concrete value across various industries.

Amplifai Health’s acceptance into this programme validates the company’s approach to implementing AI technology in practical healthcare settings where it can make an immediate difference in patient care.

Transforming diabetic foot care in Saudi Arabia

Through a strategic collaboration with the Ministry of Health of Saudi Arabia, Amplifai Health has implemented its AI-powered thermal imaging solution for diabetic foot risk screening with remarkable results.

The technology addresses a critical healthcare challenge, as diabetic foot complications represent one of the most serious and costly consequences of diabetes management.

The implementation has achieved substantial clinical and operational improvements that demonstrate the power of responsible AI deployment.

The solution has delivered up to an 80 percent reduction in treatment costs associated with diabetic foot complications, representing significant savings for the healthcare system.

Additionally, the technology has enabled a twelve-fold increase in screening capacity without requiring a corresponding expansion of specialist healthcare workforce, effectively addressing resource constraints while expanding patient access to critical preventive care.

Clinical validation and regulatory approval

Amplifai Health’s solution has undergone rigorous clinical validation and received regulatory approval, enabling its deployment across operational healthcare environments.

This approval process ensures the technology meets stringent safety and efficacy standards while demonstrating its capability to empower clinicians, expand access to care, and enhance overall health system performance.

World Economic Forum’s commitment to human-centered AI

Maria Basso, Head of AI Applications and Impact at the Centre for AI Excellence at the World Economic Forum, emphasized the programme’s focus on solutions that combine innovation with social responsibility.

She explained that the MINDS Programme spotlights AI solutions grounded in societal needs rather than technology for its own sake.

Basso highlighted how participating organizations demonstrate AI’s potential to deliver tangible value when designed with people at the center of development priorities.

She expressed pride in the work these organizations are conducting, noting they are leading by example in responsible AI implementation.

Leadership perspective on responsible AI integration

Dr. Meshari Alwashmi, founder and CEO of Amplifai Health, described the acceptance into the World Economic Forum’s MINDS programme as a meaningful milestone reflecting the real-world value of AI when integrated thoughtfully, responsibly, and at scale.

He emphasized that their partnership with the Ministry of Health of Saudi Arabia, supported by national ecosystem stakeholders, demonstrates how innovation can align with public health priorities to drive measurable impact for both patients and healthcare providers.

Broader Ecosystem Support

Amplifai Health acknowledged the continued support of several key government entities and partners enabling this success.

The company recognized the contributions of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, the Ministry of Economy and Planning, and the National Technology Development Program (NTDP), along with strategic partners across the broader healthcare and technology ecosystem who have facilitated the development and deployment of their innovative solution.
