MIDDLE EAST—Royal Philips, a recognized innovator in health technology worldwide, has appointed Marc Zora as chief executive officer for its Middle East, Turkey, and Africa (META) region, a position he will assume on April 1, 2026.

The appointment reflects the company’s commitment to driving meaningful change across one of the world’s most dynamic healthcare markets.

Zora brings a wealth of experience from his 15-year journey within Philips, during which he has established himself as a trusted leader across multiple markets in the region.

Since joining the organization in 2011 as an international key account manager, he has progressively advanced through increasingly significant roles in the company.

These roles include serving as the company’s first general manager for Qatar, leading operations across the Gulf and Levant, and most recently directing the Image-Guided Therapy business unit throughout META.

Vision for regional healthcare transformation

In response to his new appointment, Zora emphasized the pivotal nature of this moment for healthcare across the META region.

He highlighted how rapid transformation is generating both challenges and possibilities for health systems and care providers.

Drawing on his extensive tenure working directly with customers and partners across the region, Zora described witnessing the remarkable resilience and ambition that characterize this part of the world.

According to Zora, Philips possesses a unique competitive advantage in supporting this regional momentum.

The company, he explained, can achieve these goals through delivering breakthrough technologies that enhance patient outcomes, broaden access to care, and reduce the operational burden on healthcare professionals.

He outlined his immediate focus on accelerating this positive impact while deepening relationships with key stakeholders.

Long-standing commitment to healthcare excellence

Zora further committed to working collaboratively with partners to establish more sustainable and patient-focused health systems that can operate effectively at scale throughout the region.

His leadership will emphasize innovation that responds directly to local healthcare needs and challenges.

Philips maintains a considerable footprint across the META region, spanning over nine decades of continuous operations.

Throughout this extended presence, the organization has developed strong collaborative relationships with government bodies, hospital networks, and healthcare providers along the entire care spectrum.

Philips continues to uphold its core mission of improving people’s health and well-being through meaningful innovation.

Moving forward, Philips intends to further strengthen these strategic partnerships while tailoring its solutions to address the distinct healthcare priorities of each market in the region.

This approach underscores the company’s understanding that effective healthcare transformation requires deep local knowledge combined with global expertise.
