The company expects the facility to increase production capacity and improve supply chain responsiveness across the Middle East and Africa (MEA).

SAUDI ARABIA—Jamjoom Pharma has signed a Facility Sale and Purchase Agreement with Pfizer Saudi Limited Company to acquire a pharmaceutical manufacturing plant in King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC), Saudi Arabia.
This move marks a significant step in strengthening the company’s regional production capabilities and advancing its long-term growth strategy.
The KAEC facility focuses on the manufacturing and packaging of oral solid dosage (OSD) products, including tablets and capsules.
Notably, it operates across the full production chain, from formulation to final packaging, supported by on-site quality control laboratories.
As a result, the site ensures consistent product quality and regulatory compliance, which remain critical in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
Enhancing Local Manufacturing Capacity
With this acquisition, Jamjoom Pharma aims to expand its manufacturing network while reinforcing its operational efficiency.
The company expects the facility to increase production capacity and improve supply chain responsiveness across the Middle East and Africa (MEA).
At the same time, this development aligns closely with Saudi Arabia’s national agenda to promote local manufacturing and industrial growth.
Furthermore, the acquisition supports ongoing efforts to localize pharmaceutical production within the Kingdom.
By doing so, Jamjoom Pharma contributes to reducing dependency on imports and strengthening regional supply resilience.
This approach also plays a role in improving access to affordable, high-quality medicines for patients across MEA markets.
Commitment to Quality and Workforce Stability
Jamjoom Pharma continues to emphasize its commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and operational excellence.
The integration of the KAEC facility builds on Pfizer’s established manufacturing practices, ensuring continuity of quality benchmarks.
In addition, the company plans to support workforce stability at the site while fostering a culture of professional development and skills enhancement.
This transition not only preserves existing expertise but also creates opportunities for further capability building within the organization.
Consequently, Jamjoom Pharma positions itself to scale operations while maintaining consistency in product standards.

Commenting on the agreement, Chief Executive Officer Tarek Hosni described the acquisition as a key milestone in the company’s growth journey.
He noted that the deal reflects Jamjoom Pharma’s focus on strengthening its manufacturing base within Saudi Arabia while building a scalable platform for future expansion.
He also emphasized the company’s continued commitment to delivering quality products while driving sustainable growth.
