The clinic brings together specialists in surgery, oncology, radiology, and reconstruction, along with nursing and patient coordination services.

UAE—Aster Hospital Al Qusais opened a dedicated breast clinic in Dubai on October 1, 2026, to provide women with coordinated breast health services, including screening, diagnosis, treatment and recovery, during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The clinic brings together specialists in surgery, oncology, radiology, and reconstruction, along with nursing and patient coordination services.
It also manages benign and high-risk breast conditions, providing a single pathway for women who need assessment, treatment or follow-up care.
According to the UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention’s National Cancer Registry Annual Report 2023, breast cancer accounted for 36.6% of invasive cancer cases among women in the country, with 1,445 cases recorded that year.
Multidisciplinary approach to breast care
Dr. Sherbaz Bichu, Group Chief Operating Officer for the GCC at Aster DM Healthcare, said early detection remains important in improving breast health outcomes.
He said the clinic provides access to female breast specialist surgeons, diagnostic services, and coordinated multidisciplinary care to support timely assessment and treatment.
The clinical team includes Dr. Hafsa Salim Daber, Specialist General and Laparoscopic Surgery; Dr. Pranab Karipody Prabhakaran, Consultant Medical Oncology; Dr. Afsal Muhammed, Specialist Surgical Oncology; Dr. Narayan Ganapati Hegde, Consultant Plastic Surgery; and Dr. Senthilkumar Ramasamy, Specialist Plastic Surgery.
Radiology services are provided by Dr. Donald Luke Mathew, Dr. Sreekutty Sarasamma, Dr. Namitha Kalathil and Dr. Athira Puthiyedath, all specialists in radiology.
The clinic offers breast ultrasound, MRI and biopsy services, with mammography available through a partner imaging facility.
Its services also cover breast cancer surgery, oncology, reconstruction, nutrition, rehabilitation and supportive care.
Dr. Daber said breast health needs differ between patients and require timely assessment and coordinated management.
The clinic brings relevant specialists together to guide patients through diagnosis, treatment and recovery, including those with benign or high-risk conditions.
Patient support and care coordination
Patients begin with a consultation and clinical assessment, followed by imaging or biopsy where indicated.
Specialists then coordinate care according to the diagnosis and individual treatment needs.
A dedicated Breast Care Nurse helps patients understand clinical instructions and treatment plans, provides support during recovery, and coordinates follow-up with the treating team.
Concierge Services assists with appointments, hospital navigation and coordination between consultations and investigations.
Patients and their families can also access emotional support through COSMOS, Aster Volunteers’ cancer support programme, which provides companionship and community-based assistance during cancer care.
The clinic encourages women to seek medical advice if they notice breast changes or have other concerns.
Located on the first floor of Aster Hospital Al Qusais in Dubai, the service integrates specialist assessment, diagnostics and treatment coordination within the hospital’s existing care network.
