Bupa CareConnect expands integrated digital healthcare network across Saudi Arabia

Through its collaboration with Al Borg Diagnostics, members can schedule laboratory tests at home, reducing the need to visit healthcare facilities while encouraging earlier diagnosis and routine health monitoring.

SAUDI ARABIA—Bupa CareConnect is strengthening its role in Saudi Arabia’s rapidly evolving healthcare sector by expanding an integrated care model that combines digital technology, strategic partnerships and patient-centred services.

As the healthcare delivery arm of Bupa Arabia for Cooperative Insurance Company, the organization is broadening access to medical services while supporting better health outcomes through connected care.

Since its launch in 2024, Bupa CareConnect has developed a healthcare ecosystem that links medical consultations, virtual care, home laboratory testing, medication delivery and chronic disease management into a seamless patient journey.

The company reported that demand for its digital consultation services has increased more than fivefold over the past year, highlighting the growing adoption of virtual healthcare across the Kingdom.

Building a connected healthcare ecosystem

Bupa CareConnect has partnered with several healthcare providers to make medical services more convenient and accessible.

Through its collaboration with Al Borg Diagnostics, members can schedule laboratory tests at home, reducing the need to visit healthcare facilities while encouraging earlier diagnosis and routine health monitoring.

The company has also expanded its pharmacy network through partnerships with Nahdi Pharmacy and Al-Dawaa.

These collaborations allow prescribed medications to be delivered directly to patients, improving treatment adherence and ensuring continuity of care, particularly for individuals managing long-term conditions.

By integrating diagnostics, pharmacy services and virtual consultations into a single healthcare journey, Bupa CareConnect aims to simplify access to healthcare while enabling healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care more effectively.

Strengthening chronic disease management

Managing chronic diseases remains a key focus of the company’s healthcare strategy.

Its Chronic Care Management programmes, particularly those designed for people living with diabetes, have demonstrated measurable improvements in disease control and key health indicators.

The programmes combine early diagnosis, preventive care, primary healthcare services, virtual consultations and continuous medical follow-up to help patients better manage their conditions.

This coordinated approach enables healthcare providers to intervene earlier, monitor patient progress more closely and reduce the risk of complications while maintaining consistent standards of care.

Patients can also enrol in preventive health and disease management programmes through Bupa CareConnect’s digital platforms.

These online services simplify registration, facilitate ongoing communication between patients and healthcare providers, and support timely responses to changing healthcare needs.

Expanding digital healthcare services

A central component of the integrated care model is the Bupa Digital Clinic, which provides round-the-clock medical consultations.

Staffed by highly qualified Saudi physicians representing more than 12 medical specialties, the clinic allows members to receive professional medical advice without travelling to a healthcare facility.

The virtual platform improves access to healthcare regardless of a patient’s location while supporting faster clinical decision-making and more consistent follow-up care.

Bupa CareConnect is also advancing its digital primary healthcare strategy by incorporating artificial intelligence-powered healthcare solutions into its platform.

These technologies help personalise patient engagement, encourage adherence to prescribed treatment plans and support more efficient coordination between healthcare providers.

As Saudi Arabia continues to modernise its healthcare system under Vision 2030, Bupa CareConnect is expanding beyond the traditional role of a health insurer by delivering integrated healthcare services.

Its connected model brings together preventive care, diagnosis, treatment and follow-up through a digitally enabled network that links patients with healthcare providers throughout every stage of their healthcare journey.
