The international event brings together leading experts and practitioners from around the world to share knowledge, advance modern surgical techniques, and shape the future of robotic surgery.

SAUDI ARABIA— King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre (KFSHRC) in Riyadh will host the Robotic Surgery Collaboration Summit (RSC Summit) from December 4 to 6.

The international event brings together leading experts and practitioners from around the world to share knowledge, advance modern surgical techniques, and shape the future of robotic surgery.

The summit offers a comprehensive scientific program that spans multiple advanced surgical specialties.

Participants will explore topics in colorectal surgery, upper gastrointestinal surgery, abdominal wall reconstruction, hepatopancreatobiliary surgery, organ transplantation, and bariatric surgery.

Beyond these clinical areas, the event features scientific lectures and specialized panel discussions addressing surgical education, patient safety, training methodologies, acute care surgery, and procedural innovation.

Attendees will also witness live operative demonstrations that showcase real-time surgical techniques.

The program places special emphasis on emerging technologies that are transforming surgical practice.

These innovations include natural orifice surgical approaches, single-port robotic platforms, and robotic Whipple procedures for treating pancreatic disease.

Additionally, the summit will highlight magnetic anastomosis technologies that improve tissue connection healing and demonstrate how artificial intelligence applications integrate into modern surgical workflows.

The summit attracts a diverse range of healthcare professionals and stakeholders.

Department chairs, subspecialty surgeons, residents, fellows, healthcare AI developers, hospital administrators, health system leaders, policymakers, and regulators will all participate in the discussions.

This broad representation establishes the event as a truly international platform for reimagining operating room practices and accelerating collaborative innovation in surgical care.

KFSHRC’s participation in this global gathering reinforces its commitment to becoming the preferred destination for specialized healthcare.

The hospital actively strengthens the Kingdom’s robotic surgery capabilities through such events, which facilitate knowledge exchange and professional development.

These efforts directly enhance patient outcomes, elevate the quality of specialist care, and advance surgical expertise across essential medical disciplines.

The institution has earned significant international recognition for its excellence in healthcare delivery.

KFSHRC currently ranks first in the Middle East and Africa and fifteenth globally among the world’s top 250 academic medical centers for 2025.

Brand Finance has recognized it as the most valuable healthcare brand in both the Kingdom and the broader region.

Furthermore, Newsweek has included KFSHRC in its prestigious lists of World’s Best Hospitals 2025, Best Smart Hospitals 2026, and Best Specialized Hospitals 2026.

The RSC Summit represents another milestone in KFSHRC’s ongoing efforts to advance surgical innovation and establish Saudi Arabia as a hub for cutting-edge medical technology and collaborative healthcare development.
