The agreement builds on Haleon’s existing use of Microsoft 365 Copilot and broadens the company’s adoption of Microsoft’s AI, cloud and data technologies.

UK—Consumer healthcare company Haleon has signed a new five-year agreement with Microsoft to expand the use of artificial intelligence (AI) across its global operations.
The move places the maker of Advil and Sensodyne among a growing number of healthcare companies partnering with major technology firms to modernise their businesses and improve productivity.
AI to support daily operations
The agreement builds on Haleon’s existing use of Microsoft 365 Copilot and broadens the company’s adoption of Microsoft’s AI, cloud and data technologies.
Haleon said the new tools will help employees automate routine tasks, collaborate more efficiently and spend more time on higher-value work.
The company plans to deploy AI across several core functions, including consumer insights, research and innovation, supply chain management and commercial operations.
Microsoft and Haleon will also jointly develop AI applications tailored to the consumer health business.
According to Haleon, the technology will speed up scientific research and clinical content development.
It will also improve marketing content creation and personalisation while strengthening demand forecasting and business decision-making.
In addition, the company expects AI to help teams better understand changing consumer needs and respond more quickly with new products and services.
To support these initiatives, Haleon will continue to use Microsoft Azure as its primary cloud platform while expanding its use of Microsoft’s agentic AI, security, and identity technologies.
These capabilities are designed to strengthen data protection, governance and threat detection as AI becomes more deeply integrated into the company’s operations.
Claire Dickson, Haleon’s Chief Digital and Technology Officer, said the partnership would simplify the way employees work while unlocking greater value from company data.
She added that combining Microsoft’s cloud and AI technologies with Haleon’s consumer health expertise would accelerate innovation and enable faster, smarter decisions across the business.
Supporting Haleon’s growth strategy
The collaboration aligns with Haleon’s “Win as One” strategy, launched in May 2025, which aims to reach one billion additional consumers by 2030, building on the 1.4 billion people the company already serves.
As part of that plan, Haleon reorganised its global business into six operating units and introduced new leadership positions, including Chief Growth Officer and Chief Transformation Officer, to drive commercial growth and oversee business transformation.
The Microsoft partnership follows similar AI collaborations across the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors.
Companies including Bristol Myers Squibb, Merck & Co., Novo Nordisk, Eli Lilly and Roche have recently announced enterprise AI partnerships with leading technology companies to improve research, streamline operations and accelerate innovation.
