Saudi German Hospital Dammam earns prestigious ANCC Magnet recognition

SAUDI ARABIA—Saudi German Hospital Dammam has earned the prestigious Magnet Recognition from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), marking a major milestone for both the hospital and its parent network, Saudi German Health.

The achievement reinforces the group’s commitment to nursing excellence, high-quality patient care, and internationally recognised clinical standards.

The hospital is the first private healthcare facility in Dammam, the capital of Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province, to receive the designation.

It also becomes the fourth hospital within the Saudi German Health network to achieve Magnet Recognition outside the United States, further expanding the group’s portfolio of internationally accredited facilities.

Magnet Recognition is widely regarded as the highest international benchmark for nursing excellence.

The ANCC awards the designation to hospitals that demonstrate outstanding nursing leadership, innovation, professional practice, patient outcomes, and quality improvement.

For patients, the recognition reflects a healthcare environment where nurses receive strong institutional support to deliver safe, compassionate, and patient-centred care.

Expanding a network of magnet hospitals

The latest recognition strengthens Saudi German Health’s position as a regional leader in nursing excellence.

With Dammam joining its list of Magnet-designated facilities, the healthcare group now operates four Magnet-recognized hospitals, making it the only healthcare system outside the United States to reach this milestone.

Within the network, Saudi German Hospital Dammam is now the first and only private hospital in the Eastern Province’s capital to receive Magnet Recognition.

Saudi German Hospital Aseer remains the first and only hospital in Saudi Arabia’s Southern Region with the designation, while Saudi German Hospital Riyadh was the first private hospital in the capital to earn the recognition.

Meanwhile, Saudi German Hospital Jeddah became the first hospital outside the United States to receive the even higher Magnet Recognition with Distinction, placing it among the world’s top-performing hospitals for nursing excellence.

Continued focus on international standards

The recognition reflects Saudi German Health’s broader strategy of aligning its services with leading international healthcare standards while advancing its “Caring Like Family” philosophy.

The group continues to invest in nursing leadership, staff development, and quality improvement programmes to enhance patient outcomes across its hospitals.

The announcement also follows a series of recent achievements for Saudi German Health.

 Earlier this year, the organisation was recognised among TIME and Statista’s Arabia Growth Leaders 2026, highlighting its continued expansion across the region.

The group also recently launched operations at a new outpatient clinic complex in Riyadh as part of its ongoing efforts to improve access to specialised healthcare services throughout Saudi Arabia.
