Under the new structure, hospitals and clinics previously operating as NMC Oman will now operate under the Numa Health brand, while EMC will continue as a dedicated sub-brand focused on dermatology and aesthetic medicine.

OMAN — Tawoos Group has officially launched Numa Health, a new healthcare brand that brings together the hospitals and clinics formerly operating under NMC Oman.
The move follows the successful acquisition and integration of NMC’s healthcare operations in the Sultanate, marking Tawoos Group’s entry into the private healthcare sector as it seeks to build a nationally owned healthcare platform aligned with Oman Vision 2040.
The new brand was unveiled during a private reception in Muscat attended by Oman’s Minister of Health, Dr. Hilal bin Ali Al Sabti, alongside Samir J. Fancy, Chairman of Tawoos Group, His Highness Sayyid Tarik bin Shabib Al Said, Vice Chairman of Tawoos Group, and other senior government and business leaders.
Building a national healthcare network
Tawoos Group acquired NMC Oman and Elegant Medical Center (EMC) through agreements signed in May 2025, with the transaction completed in September 2025.
Since then, the healthcare network has expanded from eight facilities to 13 locations across the Sultanate.
Under the new structure, hospitals and clinics previously operating as NMC Oman will now operate under the Numa Health brand, while EMC will continue as a dedicated sub-brand focused on dermatology and aesthetic medicine.
Together, Numa Health and EMC now form the largest private healthcare platform under Omani institutional ownership.
The network builds on more than two decades of healthcare delivery while benefiting from new governance, investment, and long-term strategic support.
The launch comes as Oman continues to prioritize healthcare development under Vision 2040.
Demand for healthcare services is rising due to population growth, an aging demographic, and increasing investment in digital health infrastructure across the country.
Recent Ministry of Health initiatives include the rollout of virtual healthcare services, AI-assisted diagnostics, and expanded telemedicine capabilities to improve access and patient outcomes.
Expanding access to advanced care
Speaking at the launch, Samir J. Fancy said the Omani government and Ministry of Health have created a strong universal healthcare system that serves the needs of a growing population.
He noted that Numa Health aims to complement those efforts by establishing a trusted Omani healthcare brand that delivers affordable, high-quality care.
He added that Tawoos plans to expand the platform’s footprint within Oman and potentially beyond its borders while introducing more advanced tertiary healthcare services.
According to Fancy, the group’s financial strength and long-term investment strategy will support Numa Health’s ambition to become a trusted private-sector healthcare partner for the country.
Focus on Patient-Centred Care
His Highness Sayyid Tarik bin Shabib Al Said said Numa Health represents more than a change in name.
He explained that the organization is shifting toward a more connected and patient-centred model of care that combines medical excellence, technology, and a human-focused approach.
He added that these principles will guide the company’s future growth and service delivery.
The launch of Numa Health follows Tawoos Group’s acquisition of NMC Oman, which included two hospitals and six clinics and aesthetic centres.
At the time of the acquisition, the company described the move as the first step toward building a sustainable private healthcare ecosystem focused on quality care, job creation, and operational excellence.
With Oman continuing to modernize its healthcare system through digital transformation, health insurance expansion, and investment in new medical infrastructure, Numa Health is positioning itself to play a larger role in meeting the country’s evolving healthcare needs.
