The clinic provides full psychological assessments along with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and tailored support specifically designed for women experiencing emotional distress.

UAE—SAKINA, the leading mental health network under SEHA, a PureHealth subsidiary, together with Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City (SSMC), another PureHealth group member, has launched a specialized women’s mental health clinic.
This clinic offers a comprehensive, patient-focused approach for women facing mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, and stress.
The clinic provides full psychological assessments along with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and tailored support specifically designed for women experiencing emotional distress.
It particularly focuses on the perinatal and postnatal stages, addressing the unique mental health needs during pregnancy and after childbirth.
Services also include group therapy sessions, peer support groups, and interventions aimed at reducing social isolation while strengthening emotional resilience.
A major goal of this initiative is to integrate mental health assessments into routine antenatal care, allowing healthcare providers to identify women at risk early and offer proactive, personalized care throughout pregnancy and after delivery.
This approach helps ensure that mental health support becomes a standard part of women’s healthcare in Abu Dhabi.
Uniquely positioned as the only clinic in Abu Dhabi dedicated exclusively to women’s mental health, it is staffed entirely by female psychiatrists and psychologists.
This fosters a safe, culturally respectful environment that delivers holistic care by considering emotional, psychological, and social factors influencing women’s well-being.
Located on Level 4, Tower A, Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City in Abu Dhabi, the Women’s Mental Health Clinic operates from Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 4 pm.
The facility ensures easy access to specialized care for women throughout the capital city.
Dr Zain Al Yafei, Chief Executive Officer of SAKINA, highlighted that opening this clinic represents a crucial advancement in making specialized mental health care accessible to women.
He emphasized the network’s dedication to supporting women’s well-being and resilience.
Dr Abdulqader Almessabi, Chief Medical Officer at SSMC, reinforced that women’s health remains a top priority at their institution.
He explained that through this clinic, they aim to empower women to seek the mental health support they need in a compassionate and welcoming setting.
Dr Almessabi added that creating a space where women feel valued and understood encourages open discussions about mental health and promotes sustained well-being.
