The collaboration reinforces Bupa CareConnect’s leadership in the Kingdom’s digital healthcare transformation and aligns with the national objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.

SAUDI ARABIA— InterSystems, a global leader in data-driven healthcare technology, has announced a strategic partnership with Bupa CareConnect, the healthcare delivery arm of Bupa Arabia for Cooperative Insurance.
Together, they will implement InterSystems TrakCare®, a unified health information system, as the central digital platform supporting Bupa CareConnect’s virtual clinic, home healthcare, and physical clinic operations.
The collaboration reinforces Bupa CareConnect’s leadership in the Kingdom’s digital healthcare transformation and aligns with the national objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
As part of its long-term digital health strategy, Bupa CareConnect is building an integrated network of healthcare services that ensures seamless care continuity for its members.
This includes in-person consultations at upcoming physical clinics, remote telemedicine sessions, coordinated care pathways, and home care services.
Through the deployment of TrakCare, Bupa CareConnect aims to modernize both its clinical and administrative workflows, ensuring compliance with Saudi healthcare regulations while adopting a scalable, cloud-based platform that supports future expansion.
The new system is designed to enhance service accessibility and operational efficiency, fostering stronger patient engagement across every stage of care.
Patients will benefit from faster, safer, and more personalized healthcare experiences—from initial appointment booking to post-consultation follow-ups—thanks to improved data integration and real-time information sharing between care providers.
Commenting on the partnership, Dr. Abdullah Khafagy, Executive Director – Medical at Bupa CareConnect, said that this initiative represents a significant milestone in delivering a seamless, digitally connected care experience to its members.
He explained that TrakCare will strengthen care quality, improve efficiency, and expand accessibility across Bupa CareConnect’s virtual, home, and physical healthcare services.
Ali Abi Raad, Managing Director for the Middle East, India, and South Africa at InterSystems, expressed his pride in partnering with Bupa CareConnect to implement a next-generation health information infrastructure.
He emphasized that TrakCare offers a secure, interoperable, and analytics-rich platform that will enable innovative, patient-centered care models today while supporting future artificial intelligence (AI)-driven capabilities to further personalize care and enhance health outcomes across the Kingdom.
Through TrakCare, Bupa CareConnect will unify its administrative and clinical processes across all care settings, improve interoperability with third-party systems, and strengthen adherence to local healthcare governance standards.
The cloud-enabled foundation equipped with advanced analytics and AI-ready insights will also help the organization make more informed operational and strategic decisions, supporting preventive care and improving patient outcomes over time.
InterSystems, as part of its ongoing commitment to advancing healthcare innovation in the region, was among the first healthcare IT companies to achieve NPHIES compliance for insurance services in Saudi Arabia.
The National Platform for Health and Insurance Exchange Services (NPHIES), launched by the Cooperative Health Insurance Council (CCHI) and the National Center for Health Information (NHIC) under SEHATI’s leadership, serves as a unified electronic infrastructure.
It aims to revolutionize the Kingdom’s healthcare landscape through advanced digital technologies that enhance healthcare delivery, efficiency, and quality in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030.
