Family Care Authority opens new service centre in Al Ain to expand family support
The Al Ain Service Centre will provide a range of services covering counselling and guidance, protective care, alternative care, empowerment and awareness programmes, and custody visitation.
UAE—The Family Care Authority (FCA), affiliated with the Department of Community Development in Abu Dhabi, has inaugurated a new Service Centre in Al Ain to expand access to specialised social and family support services.
H.E. Shamis Ali Khalfan Al Dhaheri, Chairman of the Department of Community Development in Abu Dhabi; H.E. Salama Al Ameemi, Director General of the Family Care Authority; senior government officials; and the authority’s partners attended the inauguration.
Located in one of Abu Dhabi’s culturally significant regions, the new centre is designed to bring essential family services closer to residents.
Its opening also supports the objectives of the UAE Year of Family by strengthening family cohesion, resilience and stability.
The centre provides social, psychological and advisory services tailored to the needs of individuals and families.
By bringing these services together in one location, the FCA aims to provide timely support, improve coordination between services, and deliver more comprehensive care.
Focus on accessible and integrated care
The Al Ain Service Centre will provide a range of services covering counselling and guidance, protective care, alternative care, empowerment and awareness programmes, and custody visitation.
Through these services, the FCA will support families facing different social and personal challenges while ensuring that beneficiaries can access appropriate assistance in a more coordinated manner.
The centre forms part of the FCA’s wider mandate to develop an integrated social services system that protects vulnerable groups, empowers families and promotes social stability.

Speaking at the inauguration, Al Ameemi said Al Ain has long been an important part of Abu Dhabi’s social and cultural identity.
She said the establishment of the centre demonstrates the FCA’s commitment to strengthening the social foundations that support families across generations.
“We are focused on bringing support closer to the community and strengthening the foundations of family stability through specialised, responsive and integrated services,” Al Ameemi said.

Al Ameemi added that cohesive families play an important role in building a prosperous and sustainable society.
She said the FCA would continue to advance the objectives of the UAE Year of Family by providing professional and people-centred services that respect the dignity, privacy and rights of beneficiaries.
She also emphasised the importance of adapting services to the changing needs of individuals and families.
The opening of the Al Ain Service Centre further strengthens the FCA’s role within Abu Dhabi’s social sector by expanding access to family-centred services focused on prevention, empowerment and stability.
The centre is expected to serve as a key point of access for residents seeking social, psychological and advisory support, while helping the authority coordinate services around the needs of individuals and families.
