Lumirix® is the first topical prescription treatment approved in Singapore that directly targets the disease’s pathophysiology, addressing an unmet need among patients with the condition.

CHINA—China Medical System Holdings Limited has secured Singapore regulatory approval for its subsidiary Rxilient Medical’s Lumirix® cream to treat non-segmental vitiligo in adults and adolescents aged 12 and older, following a decision by the Health Sciences Authority (HSA).
The approval covers ruxolitinib phosphate cream, which targets the underlying inflammatory mechanism of vitiligo.
Lumirix® is the first topical prescription treatment approved in Singapore that directly targets the disease’s pathophysiology, addressing an unmet need among patients with the condition.
Expansion of vitiligo treatment across Asia
The approval expands access to targeted vitiligo treatment in Singapore, where therapeutic options have been limited.
Rxilient Medical has already launched Lumirix® for the same indication in Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan.
The Singapore authorisation also strengthens the company’s regional commercialisation strategy, allowing it to expand its portfolio of innovative therapies across Asian markets.
Regulatory approvals in multiple jurisdictions can support wider market access while creating opportunities to leverage existing distribution and commercial infrastructure.
Singapore hub supports internationalisation strategy
China Medical System launched its internationalisation strategy in 2022, positioning Singapore as its operational hub for expansion into emerging markets.
The strategy focuses on integrating research and development, manufacturing and sales to improve the efficiency of its pharmaceutical business across different markets.
Rxilient Medical serves as the group’s commercialisation subsidiary for this expansion.
Its business model, described as global localisation, focuses on introducing innovative medicines to emerging markets through drug importation, development, regulatory registration and marketing.
Headquartered in Singapore, the company operates through subsidiaries or offices in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Malaysia, Vietnam, the Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand and the United Arab Emirates.
It relies on locally based teams to navigate regulatory requirements, establish commercial partnerships and support product launches.
By the end of June 2026, Rxilient Medical had launched nine products across several Southeast Asian markets and regions.
It had also submitted marketing applications for more than 20 pharmaceutical products and medical devices.
The company’s expanding regulatory pipeline and regional presence provide a platform for introducing additional therapies as it pursues growth in emerging pharmaceutical markets.
