SAUDI ARABIA—Dr. Soliman Fakeeh Hospital in Jeddah has achieved a major milestone after receiving the Gold Level Patient Safety Standards Certificate in the first cycle of the national program.

The hospital is the first and only facility in the Kingdom to secure this recognition in the current cycle, marking a significant step in its quality and safety journey.

The certification program is overseen by the Saudi Patient Safety Center (SPSC), the national body responsible for advancing patient safety standards and strengthening healthcare quality across Saudi Arabia in line with the Health Sector Transformation Program and Vision 2030.

Comprehensive evaluation across key safety domains

The Gold Level certification follows a rigorous assessment based on 10 patient safety domains and 250 criteria.

The evaluation covered leadership and governance, patient engagement, workforce competence, clinical care processes, medication safety, infection prevention, risk management, incident reporting systems, and continuous quality improvement.

The hospital met all required standards set by the Saudi Patient Safety Center, reflecting strong compliance with structured safety protocols and system-wide quality controls across its clinical and operational departments.
