Under the partnership, ITWORX Education will implement Avicenna, its advanced Health Information System (HIS) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platform, across Global Medical City’s hospital ecosystem.

EGYPT—ITWORX Education has entered a strategic technology partnership with Global Medical City to accelerate digital transformation in Egypt’s healthcare sector through the deployment of its proprietary hospital management platform, Avicenna.
The agreement marks a significant expansion for ITWORX Education, a company widely recognized for its work in digital education transformation across the Middle East and Africa.
The move also reflects its broader strategy to diversify its technology portfolio into healthcare, building on decades of enterprise software innovation and regional partnerships with organizations such as Microsoft.
Under the partnership, ITWORX Education will implement Avicenna, its advanced Health Information System (HIS) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platform, across Global Medical City’s hospital ecosystem.
The medical complex is Egypt’s first fully integrated medical city, designed to provide 360-degree healthcare and wellness services within a single facility.
Avicenna platform to streamline operations
Developed entirely in-house, Avicenna connects clinical, administrative, and financial workflows through a unified digital infrastructure.
The platform enables real-time data access, integrated patient records management, and automated operational workflows aimed at improving hospital efficiency and care coordination.
The system also incorporates artificial intelligence and advanced analytics, enabling healthcare leaders to make faster, data-driven decisions while improving service delivery and patient outcomes.
“Avicenna is the result of years of in-house development and direct experience working within complex healthcare environments,” said Hytham ElSaiid, Chief Operating Officer at ITWORX Education.
He noted that the platform was built to scale across entire hospital ecosystems, connecting core clinical, operational, and financial functions through a single intelligent framework.
He added that the partnership with Global Medical City reflects both organizations’ shared focus on precision, interoperability, and digitally enabled patient care.
Expanding ITWORX’s healthcare footprint
The collaboration establishes standardized digital processes and cross-functional visibility across Global Medical City’s operations, creating a foundation for more coordinated and efficient healthcare management.
It also represents a strategic milestone for ITWORX Education as it extends the reach of its proprietary platforms beyond education technology.
The company has recently strengthened its regional innovation credentials through broader digital transformation initiatives and partnerships focused on cloud computing, AI, and enterprise modernization.
For Global Medical City, the deployment aligns with its long-term vision of delivering technologically advanced healthcare services in Egypt.
The medical city has previously pursued strategic collaborations to enhance healthcare accessibility and integrated care delivery, including partnerships supporting community health initiatives across the country.
The implementation of Avicenna is expected to modernize hospital workflows while supporting clinicians with real-time insights that improve decision-making across patient care pathways.
