The new system increases the Mega Lab’s haematology testing capacity to more than 1,000 tests per hour while reducing manual handling throughout the testing workflow.

The healthcare package forms part of a broader set of cooperation agreements covering education, green industry, vocational training, and support for small and medium-sized enterprises.

The agreement was formalized by Ali El Ghamrawy, Chairperson of the Egyptian Drug Authority, and James Peter Komie, Chairperson of the Pharmacy Board of Sierra Leone, in the presence of Sierra Leone’s Ambassador to Egypt, Sadiq Sillah.

Under the agreement, Tanmeyah will provide tailored financing solutions for healthcare providers, particularly small and medium-sized facilities that often face constraints in investing in digital infrastructure.

Through the collaboration, the two companies aim to help healthcare providers improve efficiency, streamline operations, and enhance the quality of care delivered to patients.

The African Pooled Procurement Mechanism, led by the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention, is designed to help Member States aggregate demand for medicines, vaccines, diagnostics, and other essential medical supplies.

The project includes a specialised training academy designed to develop advanced skills in biotechnology, quality control, and vaccine production, ensuring a steady pipeline of qualified personnel to support long-term operations and sector growth.

The expansion strategy also includes growing the group’s radiotherapy and advanced imaging services as demand for specialised healthcare rises across Egypt.

Under the partnership, ITWORX Education will implement Avicenna, its advanced Health Information System (HIS) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platform, across Global Medical City’s hospital ecosystem.

Under the system, 2,100 cases were referred to Egypt’s psychological support hotline 16328, while 1,625 patients were directed to the national electronic mental health and addiction treatment platform.
