A core focus of the partnership is building stronger capabilities among eye care professionals, whereby the two organizations will develop and launch specialized training programs designed for doctors and healthcare practitioners working in ophthalmology.

UAE—Jamjoom Pharma has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Magrabi Health Group, one of the region’s leading healthcare providers, to deepen cooperation in ophthalmology services.
The agreement, announced via an emailed press release, marks a significant step toward raising the standard of eye care across Saudi Arabia, bringing together two major players in the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors with a shared commitment to improving patient outcomes.
Training and professional development
A core focus of the partnership is building stronger capabilities among eye care professionals, whereby the two organizations will develop and launch specialized training programs designed for doctors and healthcare practitioners working in ophthalmology.
Beyond routine training, the initiative will also bring together experts through scientific workshops and conferences, creating platforms for knowledge exchange and exposure to the latest global advances in the diagnosis and treatment of eye conditions.
By investing in professional development at this level, both companies aim to close gaps in specialist expertise and ensure that practitioners in Saudi Arabia are equipped to deliver world-class care.
Raising public awareness
The MoU also places a strong emphasis on community education. Jamjoom Pharma and Magrabi Health Group will roll out awareness campaigns targeting the general public, with a particular focus on encouraging early detection and prevention of eye diseases.
These campaigns will shine a spotlight on conditions that often develop silently and without obvious symptoms, such as glaucoma and retinal disorders—illnesses that can cause irreversible damage when left undetected.
To reach as wide an audience as possible, the campaigns will include field activities, free eye screenings, and educational content distributed across both traditional media and digital platforms.
Research and innovation in treatment
In addition to training and public outreach, the partnership opens the door to collaborative research and the development of advanced therapeutic solutions.
The two parties plan to share knowledge and work together on specialized pharmaceutical products, with the goal of improving treatment outcomes and enhancing the overall patient experience.
This research-driven component of the agreement reflects a longer-term commitment to innovation in ophthalmology, moving beyond current standards to explore new approaches to eye care that can benefit patients throughout the region.
Expanding access to specialized eye care
Through the combined efforts outlined in this agreement, Jamjoom Pharma and Magrabi Health Group expect to broaden access to specialized eye care services across Saudi Arabia.
The partnership also aims to strengthen preventive healthcare measures, which are critical in reducing the long-term burden of eye disease on individuals and health systems alike.
Both companies see this collaboration as a meaningful contribution to improving public health and quality of life not only within Saudi Arabia but across the wider region.
