EGYPT—Alameda Healthcare Group, a leading private healthcare provider in Egypt, has partnered with the Egyptian Atomic Energy Authority (EAEA) to manage and operate the Radiotherapy Treatment, Training, and Research Unit in Nasr City.
This collaboration represents a significant public-private partnership aimed at expanding access to advanced cancer care nationwide.
Under the agreement, Alameda Healthcare assumes full responsibility for the unit’s medical, operational, and administrative functions.
The facility will provide a wide range of cancer treatments, including radiotherapy, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapy, as well as advanced diagnostic tools such as PET-CT scans.

Investment and impact
With a total investment exceeding EGP 270 million (USD 9 million), the facility is projected to serve more than 2,000 patients annually, significantly enhancing specialized cancer treatment availability throughout Egypt.
This investment forms part of Alameda Healthcare’s broader expansion in oncology, which includes recent upgrades to radiotherapy technologies at its Dar Al Fouad facility in 6th of October and planned expansion at its new hospital in Madinaty.
A Hub for Training and Research
Beyond clinical services, the unit will function as a regional center for oncology training and research.
The facility will support medical education, specialized professional development programs, and scientific collaboration, strengthening Egypt’s capacity to develop specialized healthcare expertise.
The partnership divides responsibilities strategically: the Egyptian Atomic Energy Authority provides infrastructure, core equipment, and strategic oversight while supporting research initiatives, while Alameda Healthcare leads day-to-day operations, service development, and facility management.
