M42 to deploy Oracle Health Data Intelligence to advance AI-powered healthcare in UAE

UAE—M42, a global healthcare company focused on artificial intelligence, technology, and genomics, plans to deploy Oracle Health Data Intelligence to integrate clinical, genomic, and real-world data across its healthcare network.

The initiative will support chronic disease management, population health programmes and more personalised care while strengthening the UAE’s efforts to advance data-driven healthcare.

Unifying healthcare data

M42 will integrate Oracle Health Data Intelligence with Oracle Health Foundation EHR to create a secure platform that brings together information from multiple healthcare sources.

The system will give clinicians and researchers access to more comprehensive patient information, enabling faster analysis, better care coordination and more informed clinical decisions.

The company also plans to expand its use of Oracle Health solutions across its network.

By bringing clinical and genomic information into a common environment, M42 aims to provide clinicians with relevant insights at the point of care and support more coordinated patient journeys.

The platform will also allow M42 to analyse large and complex datasets more effectively.

Its AI capabilities will help researchers identify disease patterns, risk factors and potential treatment opportunities that may not be readily apparent through conventional analysis.

Building on genomic data integration

The latest initiative builds on a strategic collaboration between M42 and Oracle Health launched last year to develop unified longitudinal patient records across the UAE healthcare ecosystem.

Under the collaboration, the companies integrated data from the Emirati Genome Programme into the electronic health record system.

The integration gives clinicians access to pharmacogenomic information that can help inform treatment decisions based on patients’ genetic profiles.

M42 said the expanded use of Oracle Health technologies will also strengthen its data governance framework.

The company will apply data, digital and AI governance principles to support secure and responsible management of healthcare information while meeting regulatory requirements.

Dr Ali Anees, Chief Operating Officer for the UAE and Bahrain at M42, said adopting Oracle Health Data Intelligence represents an important step in the company’s efforts to use AI and data to improve healthcare.

He said integrating clinical, genomic and real-world data into a single environment would help M42 generate faster insights and support more personalized care.

Focus on diabetes care

M42 plans to initially deploy Oracle Health Data Intelligence across its diabetes programmes.

The company expects the platform to support proactive patient engagement and help care teams optimise treatment for people living with chronic conditions.

The unified data environment will also support M42’s goal of developing comprehensive longitudinal patient records.

Clinicians across its network will be able to access a broader view of patients’ health histories, supporting clinical decision-making and coordination between different points of care.

Seema Verma, Executive Vice President and General Manager of Oracle Health and Life Sciences, said the collaboration reflects a shared commitment to using healthcare data, genomics, and AI to improve patient care and accelerate medical research.

She added that M42’s work demonstrates how advanced data platforms can support healthcare delivery, research, and population health programmes at scale.
