Alameda Healthcare Group partners with RoboMasters to expand robotic surgery in Egypt

The strategic collaboration aims to combine robotic technology with specialist surgical expertise to strengthen minimally invasive procedures across urology, gynaecology, and general surgery.

EGYPT—Alameda Healthcare Group has partnered with RoboMasters to expand robotic-assisted surgery services in Egypt, supported by an investment of more than EGP 70 million (US$1.4 million).

The strategic collaboration aims to combine robotic technology with specialist surgical expertise to strengthen minimally invasive procedures across urology, gynaecology, and general surgery.

The agreement was signed at The Westin Cairo Golf Resort & Spa in Katameya Dunes, bringing together senior representatives from both organizations.

Expanding robotic surgery capabilities

Under the agreement, Alameda Healthcare Group will leverage Edge Medical’s robotic surgery platform alongside RoboMasters’ multidisciplinary expertise.

The partners will work to develop comprehensive robotic surgery programs across multiple specialties and expand access to procedures that use robotic systems to support minimally invasive techniques.

Robotic-assisted surgery uses computer-controlled instruments to help surgeons perform complex procedures through small incisions.

Depending on the procedure, the technology can provide enhanced instrument control, visualization, and precision while supporting minimally invasive surgical approaches.

For Alameda Healthcare Group, the collaboration forms part of its investment in advanced medical technologies and clinical services.

The group operates a network of JCI-accredited facilities and intends to strengthen its surgical capabilities through the introduction and expansion of robot-assisted procedures.

Focus on training and clinical expertise

RoboMasters brings together surgeons specializing in robotic urology, gynaecology, and general surgery.

Its multidisciplinary structure is intended to support the application of robotic techniques across specialties while developing clinical expertise in their use.

As part of the collaboration, the organizations will focus on clinical training and the development of robotic surgery programs.

The partnership will also bring together surgical expertise and technology to support the wider adoption of minimally invasive procedures in Egypt.

The signing ceremony was attended by Dr. Fahad Khater, Chairman of Alameda Healthcare Group, and Neeraj Mishra, Group Chief Executive Officer. RoboMasters was represented by Dr. Ahmed Elshal, Dr. Ahmad Tawfik Hassan, Dr. Amro Elhoussieny, Dr. Enmar Habib, Dr. Hassan Morsi, Dr. Hassan Shaker, Dr. Kareem Kamel, Dr. Mohamed Kotb, and Dr. Tarek Osman.

Investment in advanced surgical care

Commenting on the agreement, Mishra said the collaboration with RoboMasters would support Alameda Healthcare Group’s efforts to introduce advanced surgical technologies and specialist expertise to patients in Egypt.

He said the partnership would expand the group’s surgical capabilities and provide patients with greater access to robot-assisted procedures.

Mishra added that continued investment in clinical innovation would support the group’s focus on surgical services and healthcare development in Egypt and the wider region.

The collaboration comes as healthcare providers in the region increase their use of robotic systems and other technologies designed to support minimally invasive surgery.

For hospitals, adopting these systems also requires investment in surgeon training, operating room infrastructure, clinical protocols, and maintenance alongside the technology itself.

Through the agreement, Alameda Healthcare Group and RoboMasters will combine robotic technology, multidisciplinary surgical expertise, and clinical training as they develop robotic surgery services across Alameda’s healthcare network.
