The Searle Company launches Xavy in Pakistan to expand its metabolic health portfolio

Tirzepatide has gained attention as a treatment option for metabolic conditions, particularly because of its role in managing blood glucose levels and supporting weight management in eligible patients.

PAKISTAN—The Searle Company Limited (TSCL) has announced the launch of Xavy™ (tirzepatide) in Pakistan, adding a new therapy to its portfolio as the company expands its presence in the rapidly evolving metabolic health market.

The launch represents another step in TSCL’s efforts to introduce innovative therapies that address emerging healthcare needs.

Tirzepatide has gained attention as a treatment option for metabolic conditions, particularly because of its role in managing blood glucose levels and supporting weight management in eligible patients.

Announcing the launch, Zohaib Saif Ullah Khan, General Manager, Business Development at TSCL and IBL Healthcare, said the introduction of Xavy™ marks the company’s entry into one of the most dynamic areas of modern healthcare.

“With the launch of Xavy™, we are stepping forward into one of the most dynamic and transformative areas of modern healthcare — metabolic health,” Khan said.

Focus on Innovation and Collaboration

According to TSCL, bringing Xavy™ to the Pakistani market reflects the company’s focus on translating strategic plans into products that can potentially make a meaningful difference to patients.

The company said the launch resulted from collaboration among its leadership and associated teams, whose efforts helped move the product from an ambitious strategic objective to market introduction.

Khan also highlighted the contribution of the teams involved in the launch, expressing appreciation for their role in executing the company’s plans.

“From strategy to execution, this launch represents the power of innovation, collaboration and relentless commitment,” he said.

TSCL said the introduction of Xavy™ demonstrates how coordinated efforts across different functions can support the delivery of new healthcare products to patients.

Expanding Access to Metabolic Health Therapies

The launch comes as metabolic health becomes an increasingly important area of healthcare, driven by the growing burden of conditions such as obesity and type 2 diabetes.

By adding tirzepatide to its portfolio, TSCL is seeking to strengthen its position in this expanding therapeutic segment while broadening the range of treatment options available through its business.

The company described the launch as more than the introduction of another product to the market.

It said each successful product launch provides an opportunity to address healthcare needs and create a potential impact on patients and the wider healthcare system.

Xavy™ therefore joins TSCL’s portfolio as the company continues to pursue its strategy of bringing innovative therapies to the Pakistani market.
