The healthcare package forms part of a broader set of cooperation agreements covering education, green industry, vocational training, and support for small and medium-sized enterprises.

Japan will channel the support through the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), the World Food Programme (WFP), and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF).

The agreement was formalized by Ali El Ghamrawy, Chairperson of the Egyptian Drug Authority, and James Peter Komie, Chairperson of the Pharmacy Board of Sierra Leone, in the presence of Sierra Leone’s Ambassador to Egypt, Sadiq Sillah.

The new technology can complete blood screening within 20 to 35 minutes using advanced antigen-antibody detection methods, enabling clinicians to access safe blood more quickly for emergency and routine transfusions.

The proposed centre will operate within Abu Dhabi’s Health, Endurance, Longevity, and Medicine (HELM) Cluster, a strategic life sciences platform that integrates research, healthcare delivery, investment, commercialization, and biomanufacturing.

Unlike conventional EHR systems that add AI as an extra feature, IntelliCare places artificial intelligence at the centre of the clinical workflow.

The three-day programme, developed in collaboration with JointGlow, will bring together radiation oncologists, medical physicists, radiation therapists, informatics specialists, healthcare administrators, and other clinical leaders.

The newly launched Medical Observership Program offers structured observational learning opportunities within one of the region’s leading tertiary academic medical centers.

Under the new structure, hospitals and clinics previously operating as NMC Oman will now operate under the Numa Health brand, while EMC will continue as a dedicated sub-brand focused on dermatology and aesthetic medicine.

The partnership traces its roots to 2009, when Vestergaard rehabilitated Emusanda Health Centre in Lurambi and transformed it into a community facility providing primary healthcare, maternal services, paediatric care, and HIV treatment.
