The appointment of Rabier is intended to help Sanner maximize these expanded capabilities by developing new markets, strengthening relationships with customers, and supporting the company’s international growth strategy.

GERMANY—Sanner Group, a global healthcare packaging and medical device contract development and manufacturing organization, has appointed Jean Edouard Rabier as Chief Business Development Officer (CBDO), effective September 1, 2026.
The newly created position will strengthen Sanner’s commercial leadership as the company expands its international operations and develops new growth opportunities across the healthcare sector.
Sanner has significantly expanded its capabilities following the acquisitions of Springboard and Gilero, as well as investments in manufacturing capacity in Germany and the United States.
The company now provides integrated services across pharmaceutical packaging, medical devices, diagnostics, drug delivery, and consumer healthcare.
The appointment of Rabier is intended to help Sanner maximize these expanded capabilities by developing new markets, strengthening relationships with customers, and supporting the company’s international growth strategy.
Rabier brings extensive industry experience
Rabier brings more than 20 years of international commercial leadership experience across the pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, and healthcare industries.
He has held senior positions at West and Aptar, where he developed experience in business development, sales, and customer strategy.
Before joining Sanner, Rabier led Sales and Business Development for Pharma and Biopharma Solutions Injectables at Gerresheimer.
Commenting on his appointment, Rabier said the opportunity to join Sanner during its transformation would allow him to help create a more integrated customer experience.
He said Sanner could support customers across a broad range of healthcare needs, from desiccant and moisture management solutions to the development and manufacturing of devices for diagnostics, drug delivery, and patient management.
Rabier added that Sanner and its investment partner, GHO Capital Partners, have the capabilities and skilled teams needed to deliver solutions that improve customers’ operations and ultimately benefit patients.
Leadership transition
Sanner Group CEO Stefan Verheyden said Rabier was joining the company at an important stage in its transformation.
“Following the strategic expansion of our capabilities and global footprint, our focus is now on accelerating commercial growth, creating even greater value for our customers, and fully leveraging the strength of our integrated offering,” Verheyden said.
He added that Rabier’s industry experience, customer-focused approach, and international network would support Sanner as it enters its next phase of growth.
Rabier succeeds Christian Classen, who served as Chief Sales Officer and has decided to pursue a new professional opportunity.
Verheyden credited Classen with making a significant contribution to Sanner’s development, particularly through expanding its contract development and manufacturing business and strengthening its established healthcare packaging operations.
“On behalf of the entire company, I would like to thank him for his commitment and leadership during this important phase of growth and wish him every success for the future,” Verheyden said.
