UAE—SEHA CLINICS, a subsidiary of PureHealth and one of the UAE’s largest primary and specialty care providers, has officially opened its flagship community clinic on Saadiyat Island.

The new facility reflects the organisation’s commitment to advancing accessible, preventive, and patient-centred healthcare in Abu Dhabi.

The clinic was inaugurated during a ceremony attended by senior healthcare leaders, including Dr Noura Al Ghaithi, Undersecretary of the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi; Dr Rashed Al Suwaidi, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre; Shaista Asif, Group CEO of PureHealth; Rashed Al Qubaisi, Group COO of PureHealth; Saeed Al Kuwaiti, CEO of SEHA; and Dr Khadija Al Marashda, CEO of SEHA CLINICS.

Other key officials and stakeholders from the healthcare sector were also present.

Strengthening primary healthcare

Speaking at the event, Dr Fayeza Al Yafei, Executive Director of the Healthcare Quality Sector at the Department of Health, emphasised the importance of the new facility.

She noted that the clinic demonstrates Abu Dhabi’s continued investment in primary healthcare as a foundation for building a healthier and more resilient community.

Moreover, she highlighted that the facility will improve access to integrated, patient-centred services by offering personalised and comprehensive care under one roof.

She added that the department remains committed to supporting healthcare providers in expanding their services while maintaining global standards and strengthening Abu Dhabi’s position as a leading healthcare hub.

Expanding community-based care

Dr Khadija Al Marashda underscored the role of SEHA CLINICS in enhancing the healthcare system by delivering high-quality, community-based care.

She explained that such facilities enable major hospitals to focus on more complex and specialised treatments.

In addition, she described the Saadiyat clinic as a key step in improving access to preventive care, early diagnosis, and long-term health management.

Designed around community needs, the clinic integrates experienced clinicians, multiple specialties, and personalised care pathways to deliver seamless healthcare services closer to home.

Services and patient experience

The new state-of-the-art clinic operates seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and provides a wide range of services. These include family medicine, paediatrics, dermatology, women’s health, physiotherapy, and diagnostic services.

Furthermore, the facility combines clinical expertise with a concierge-style approach that prioritises patient comfort and convenience.

It features digital registration systems, personalised guidance services, and a thoughtfully designed environment that ensures privacy and smooth patient flow.

Natural lighting and modern interiors complement the serene setting of Saadiyat Island.

Growth strategy and network

The Saadiyat Island clinic forms part of SEHA CLINICS’ broader expansion strategy, aligned with PureHealth’s vision to strengthen community-based healthcare across Abu Dhabi.

By increasing its presence in key residential areas, the organisation aims to improve access to preventive and specialised services while easing pressure on larger hospitals.

Currently, SEHA CLINICS employs more than 800 physicians across 35 clinics in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain.

In addition to clinical care, the new facility will support wellness programmes, community screenings, and health awareness initiatives to encourage proactive health management.
