PureHealth launches “Nada” to transform clinical documentation in the UAE

“Nada” functions as a secure digital assistant that allows healthcare professionals to stay fully focused on patients rather than administrative tasks.

UAE—PureHealth, the largest healthcare group in the Middle East, has launched the pilot phase of “Nada,” an innovative AI-powered service designed to assist physicians by securely capturing and organising clinical notes from medical conversations in real time.

The pilot rollout across selected PureHealth healthcare facilities marks a significant step in the Group’s mission to enhance patient experiences and streamline clinical documentation through advanced artificial intelligence tools.

Developed specifically for use during consultations, “Nada” functions as a secure digital assistant that allows healthcare professionals to stay fully focused on patients rather than administrative tasks.

By automatically documenting detailed medical conversations, the tool ensures that clinical notes are accurate, complete, and compliant with regulatory standards in the Emirate.

The deployment of “Nada” forms part of PureHealth’s broader strategy to integrate innovative technologies within a robust framework that prioritises patient privacy and data security.

Through this platform, physicians can dedicate more time to listening and engaging meaningfully with their patients, aligning with PureHealth’s human-centred model of care.

The service reduces the reliance on manual note-taking and allows medical professionals to maintain eye contact and communicate more empathetically, creating a more personalised healthcare experience for each patient.

Shaista Asif, Group Chief Executive Officer of PureHealth, said that listening is the foundation of exceptional healthcare.

She explained that “Nada” reinforces the human connection at the heart of care by giving clinicians the freedom to focus on their patients.

Emphasising that technology should empower rather than replace human interaction, she added that expanding “Nada” across PureHealth’s local and international network of hospitals will enhance the quality of patient experiences while ensuring care that is attentive, accurate, and deeply human.

Before its launch, “Nada” underwent a rigorous multi-phase evaluation and testing process within SEHA’s hospital network across the UAE.

The trials included diverse healthcare environments ranging from high-volume primary care centres to complex tertiary care hospitals.

Preliminary findings suggest that physicians using “Nada” can reduce the time spent on documentation by more than 50 percent, reclaiming over two hours per doctor per day for direct patient care.

The AI assistant demonstrates exceptional accuracy in capturing complex medical terminology and local dialects, which enables more precise clinical documentation and improves the consistency of patient medical records.

For patients, this translates into consultations that feel more natural and less transactional, fostering trust and clearer communication.

By integrating ambient AI that listens only within the consultation environment and structures information instantly, PureHealth is embracing a new era of cognitive healthcare — one where technology works seamlessly in the background to support, not substitute, the clinician’s role.

The name “Nada,” meaning “gentle presence” and “attentiveness” in Arabic, perfectly embodies this philosophy, symbolising care that is calm, clear, and human-focused.
