Umniya Fertility launches in Abu Dhabi, redefining how the UAE delivers fertility care

Umniya evolved directly from HealthPlus IVF, a practice that had already earned years of trust among patients in Abu Dhabi.

UAE—Umniya Fertility has officially opened its doors in Abu Dhabi, bringing with it a fresh approach to fertility care that places clinical outcomes, patient continuity, and holistic wellbeing at the center of every decision.

The clinic does not simply offer medical treatments—it represents a fundamental rethinking of how fertility services should work, from the first consultation to the final outcome.

Umniya evolved directly from HealthPlus IVF, a practice that had already earned years of trust among patients in Abu Dhabi.

Rather than starting from scratch, the new brand builds on that foundation, upgrading its systems, laboratories, and genetics capabilities while keeping the same experienced clinical teams in place.

Patients who previously received care through HealthPlus IVF will continue their care without interruption, now within a more modern, coordinated framework.

The clinic has also aligned its operating model with Abu Dhabi’s outcomes-based healthcare system, positioning itself as a key contributor to the emirate’s broader push toward family well-being.

Umniya’s holistic model

What sets Umniya apart from traditional fertility clinics is its commitment to looking beyond the medical diagnosis.

The team does not limit its focus to lab results and treatment protocols but instead considers the genetic, environmental, social, mental, and emotional factors that can influence a person’s fertility journey.

This broader perspective reflects a growing recognition in the healthcare industry that fertility is not purely a medical issue—it is a deeply personal experience that requires sensitivity, coordination, and care at every stage.

This holistic model becomes especially relevant as fertility trends continue to shift across the region.

More couples are delaying parenthood, and a growing number of individuals are seeking preventative planning before they even begin trying to conceive.

To meet these evolving needs, Umniya has brought precision diagnostics, personalized treatment plans, genetic testing, and mental wellbeing support together under one roof.

The goal is to reduce the fragmentation that patients often experience when seeking fertility care across multiple providers and to deliver clearer, more consistent guidance throughout the process.

Leadership speaks on the vision

Rayan Salam, Chairman of Umniya Fertility, described the launch as a natural evolution in how fertility care is delivered in the region.

He emphasized that the clinic’s focus lies in applying the most up-to-date medical and technological innovations to improve patient outcomes, while actively pushing boundaries to change the way the fertility industry operates.

Salam further explained that the patient journey is at the heart of the clinic’s model, noting that genuinely putting patients first requires rethinking how care is designed, coordinated, and delivered from start to finish.

Board Member Eman Al Shorafa added an important dimension to the conversation by highlighting the emotional side of fertility.

She pointed out that behind every fertility journey stands a person or a family navigating uncertainty, hope, and difficult choices, and that clinical excellence alone does not guarantee a positive experience.

Al Shorafa stressed that emotional intelligence—the ability to listen, support, and respond with empathy and consistency—plays a fundamental role in shaping both patient experiences and health outcomes, and that Umniya has been built with this understanding as one of its core principles.

The investment behind the growth

Umniya operates with the backing of Olive Rock Partners, a healthcare-focused investment firm that specializes in building institutions designed to deliver long-term value through strong governance, quality care, and measurable outcomes.

Abdullah Shahin, Founding Partner at Olive Rock Partners, highlighted the role of Abu Dhabi’s regulatory environment in supporting ventures such as Umniya.

He noted that the emirate has cultivated a landscape in which specialized healthcare providers can grow sustainably, underpinned by strong regulation and accountability.

Shahin added that Olive Rock’s investment in Umniya reflects confidence in Abu Dhabi’s healthcare framework and in a fertility care model designed to deliver lasting results for patients and the broader healthcare ecosystem.

New board, continued direction

Following the change in ownership, Umniya has established a new Board of Directors to provide strategic oversight and guide the platform’s long-term trajectory.

The board comprises experienced leaders in healthcare and investment, including Rayan Salam, Eman Al Shorafa, Abdullah Shahin, Muhannad Qubbaj, and Ahmed Al Mukhalalati.

Their collective involvement signals a structured and governance-driven approach to the clinic’s future.

Looking ahead

Umniya continues to operate from its existing facility in Abu Dhabi, maintaining stability for current and prospective patients alike.

The clinic remains committed to advancing its capabilities in line with international best practices, particularly in laboratory science, genetics, and personalized medicine.

At its core, Umniya reflects the belief that fertility care should be designed around outcomes and built around the individual—a principle now given a dedicated home in Abu Dhabi.
