Dubai Healthcare City Authority unveils economic relief package to drive growth

Companies can now settle renewal fees through structured payment plans, with options to extend payments until 30 September 2026.

UAE—Dubai Healthcare City Authority (DHCA), the governing body of Dubai Healthcare City (DHCC), has announced a comprehensive package of economic measures designed to strengthen its business community and create new pathways for sustainable expansion.

The initiative demonstrates Dubai’s broader commitment to nurturing key sectors throughout the emirate while building resilience against market challenges.

These measures directly address the need for greater operational flexibility, enabling businesses to navigate evolving economic conditions with greater confidence.

By introducing targeted support across licensing, payments, and leasing arrangements, the DHCA has positioned itself as a strategic partner in its members’ long-term success.

“Our business partners form the foundation of Dubai Healthcare City’s ecosystem,” said Issam Galadari, CEO of Dubai Healthcare City Authority.

“These measures reflect our commitment to ensuring their operations remain sustainable and competitive while fostering an environment where growth and investment can thrive.”

Financial relief and payment flexibility

The support package begins with significant fee waivers aimed at reducing immediate financial burdens.

All businesses renewing their commercial licences between 1 April and 30 June 2026 will have reinstatement fees and late renewal penalties waived entirely.

This elimination of additional charges removes a major obstacle for companies seeking to maintain their operational status.

Beyond waivers, the DHCA recognizes that businesses benefit from flexible payment arrangements.

Companies can now settle renewal fees through structured payment plans, with options to extend payments until 30 September 2026.

The authority accepts multiple payment methods, including post-dated cheques, allowing businesses to align fee payments with their cash flow cycles.

Leasing and restructuring opportunities

The economic package extends beyond licensing to address leasing arrangements within the free zone.

Businesses facing financial constraints can now request postponement or restructuring of due cheques into manageable installments.

Importantly, the DHCA has eliminated deferment charges and cheque return fees that would typically apply to such arrangements, further reducing the cost of renegotiating lease terms.

These leasing solutions provide crucial breathing room for companies managing multiple financial obligations simultaneously.

By removing penalty fees, the authority ensures that businesses can restructure their commitments without incurring additional expenses that could undermine their recovery efforts.

How businesses can access support

The DHCA has confirmed that eligible business partners can apply for these measures according to specified criteria and established timelines.

The authority continues to strengthen its commitment to supporting partners as they pursue growth opportunities and expansion plans within the free zone, leveraging Dubai’s proven track record as a destination for ambitious enterprises seeking sustainable success in the healthcare sector.
