Aster DM Healthcare collaborates with Qatar Charity to expand mobile healthcare access for underserved communities

UAE—Aster DM Healthcare has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Qatar Charity to expand humanitarian healthcare services across underserved communities globally.

The agreement establishes a structured framework for long-term collaboration, bringing together both organisations’ resources and expertise to advance shared humanitarian and development goals.

Moreover, the MoU enables the rollout of joint health initiatives through future agreements that will define the scope and execution of each project.

The partnership operates under Aster Volunteers, reinforcing Aster’s commitment to organised and impact-driven outreach.

The agreement was signed by Nawaf Abdulla AlHammadi, Deputy CEO for Programmes and Communications at Qatar Charity, and Kapil Chib, Chief Operating Officer of Aster DM Healthcare – Qatar.

This move marks a significant step toward improving access to essential healthcare services for vulnerable populations.

Focus on mobile healthcare and capacity building

The collaboration prioritises the deployment and expansion of mobile medical clinics as a central delivery model.

In addition, both organisations will explore joint funding and implementation of healthcare programmes, including the provision of medicines, diagnostic support, and professional training for healthcare workers.

They will also work on developing semi-permanent healthcare facilities, advancing digital health solutions, and supporting volunteer-driven initiatives.

Furthermore, the partnership promotes knowledge exchange through workshops and structured training platforms, ensuring continuous improvement in service delivery.

Expanding humanitarian reach

Aster Volunteers currently operates in over 20 countries, mobilising more than 100,000 volunteers and reaching over 8 million beneficiaries.

The programme continues to expand across Africa and the Middle East, strengthening its ability to deliver community-based healthcare services at scale.

A key component of this effort is the Aster Volunteers Mobile Medical Services (AVMMS), which deploys 71 mobile medical units across the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia.

Since its launch, the initiative has served more than 3.2 million people by providing free consultations, diagnostics, treatment, and preventive care directly to remote and underserved areas.

Commenting on the partnership, Nawaf Abdulla AlHammadi said the organisation aims to deepen its impact in the humanitarian health sector through strategic alliances.

He added that the collaboration will support initiatives such as mobile clinics, diagnostics, and capacity building to better serve vulnerable communities.

Dr. Azad Moopen, Founder Chairman of Aster DM Healthcare, emphasised that social responsibility remains central to the company’s mission.

He noted that the partnership strengthens Aster Volunteers’ ability to bridge healthcare gaps and scale sustainable, community-focused solutions across regions.
