As part of the collaboration, GMSC will work directly with M42’s clinical and operational teams to enhance demand forecasting, improve procurement efficiency, and provide greater inventory visibility across facilities.

UAE—Healthcare technology leader M42 has signed a strategic outsourcing agreement with Global Medical Supply Chain (GMSC), the pharmaceutical logistics arm of Mubadala Bio, to strengthen medical supply chain operations across its healthcare network.
The agreement was signed during Make it in the Emirates 2026, the country’s flagship industrial event, which this year brought together more than 1,200 exhibitors across 12 priority sectors, including pharmaceuticals and advanced manufacturing.
The event has become a key platform for driving industrial self-sufficiency and accelerating the UAE’s national manufacturing strategy.
Executed by M42 Group Chief Executive Officer Dimitris Moulavasilis and Mubadala Bio Deputy Chief Executive Officer Hamad Husein Al Marzooqi, the deal places medical supply chain management for M42’s facilities under the oversight of Global Medical Supply Chain (GMSC), Mubadala Bio’s pharmaceutical logistics subsidiary.
Integrated Supply Chain Model Across M42 Facilities
Under the partnership, GMSC will oversee a fully integrated supply chain model across M42’s healthcare facilities, managing sourcing, procurement, demand planning, warehousing, distribution, and inventory management.
The arrangement will cover pharmaceuticals, medical consumables, equipment, and clinical instruments, ensuring uninterrupted access to critical healthcare products throughout M42’s network.
As part of the collaboration, GMSC will work directly with M42’s clinical and operational teams to enhance demand forecasting, improve procurement efficiency, and provide greater inventory visibility across facilities.
These improvements are expected to reduce supply disruptions while enabling cost efficiencies at scale.
Dr. Bakheet Al Katheeri described the agreement as a major step in advancing the UAE’s vision for a globally competitive life sciences sector.
He noted that combining Mubadala Bio’s specialised logistics expertise with M42’s scale would accelerate in-country capability development while strengthening national health security and industrial competitiveness.
Moulavasilis emphasized that resilient supply chains are central to M42’s health intelligence ecosystem.
He said the partnership enhances the company’s ability to deliver patient-centred care more efficiently while supporting national localisation priorities.
Part of Broader UAE Healthcare Expansion
The agreement comes amid a series of strategic developments involving both organisations.
Earlier this month, M42 unveiled a new operating structure designed to accelerate international growth and healthcare innovation, including expanded focus on genomics, digital health, AI-powered life sciences, and clinical research.
Moreover, Mubadala Bio recently signed a memorandum of understanding with the Emirates Drug Establishment to strengthen pharmaceutical manufacturing and enhance medicine security across the UAE.
M42 also signed a strategic partnership with the UAE Ministry of Defence this week to support the World Congress of Military Medicine 2026, further reinforcing its expanding role in national healthcare transformation initiatives.
The new logistics agreement positions both organisations to deepen operational integration as the UAE accelerates efforts to localise critical healthcare capabilities and strengthen long-term supply resilience.
