Aldar forms strategic partnership with PureHealth to build Health Longevity Communities in Abu Dhabi

UAE—Real estate developer Aldar and healthcare group PureHealth have formed a strategic partnership to develop health longevity-focused communities that integrate technology, healthcare, and wellness into everyday living.

The collaboration aims to redefine residential development by embedding preventive healthcare and well-being into the design of homes and neighbourhoods, while supporting the UAE’s ambition to become a global centre for health, longevity, and sustainable living.

The partnership brings together PureHealth’s expertise in healthcare and health longevity science with Aldar’s experience in developing integrated, people-centred master-planned communities.

It also aligns with national priorities, including the UAE’s National Strategy for Wellbeing 2031 and Abu Dhabi’s Longevity and Precision Medicine Declaration.

Integrating health into community design

Under the agreement, the two organisations will explore innovative ways to incorporate wellness and preventive healthcare throughout residential communities.

Their approach extends beyond healthcare facilities to include homes, public spaces, and everyday experiences that encourage healthier lifestyles and long-term wellbeing.

By combining PureHealth’s clinical expertise with Aldar’s data-driven approach to urban planning, the partners aim to transform advances in longevity science into practical and scalable solutions.

These measures are designed to improve quality of life while creating healthier and more connected communities.

Smart technologies to promote preventive care

According to Rashed AlQubaisi, Group Chief Operating Officer of PureHealth, the partnership represents an important milestone in the company’s mission to make health an integral part of daily life.

He said the initiative will leverage PureHealth’s Pura Clinic, the region’s specialised centre for precision health and health longevity science, to introduce technologies that support preventive care.

Planned features include advanced indoor air quality systems, smart beds, and intelligent mirrors capable of providing real-time, contact-free health insights.

AlQubaisi added that the collaboration demonstrates how cross-sector partnerships can accelerate innovation while advancing national objectives for population health and health longevity.

Creating wellness-centered living spaces

Jonathan Emery, Chief Executive Officer of Aldar Development, said the partnership reflects the shared belief that wellbeing should be embedded into the places where people live.

He explained that Aldar considers wellness a core principle in planning, designing, and operating its developments.

As the partnership progresses, Aldar and PureHealth will evaluate pilot projects across selected communities and assets to develop new approaches that combine healthcare, technology, and the built environment.

People worldwide spend up to 90% of their time indoors, making the quality of buildings a major factor in long-term health, particularly in hot climates such as the UAE.

Indoor air quality, access to safe water, natural daylight, and exposure to green spaces all contribute to healthier living environments.

Through this partnership, Aldar and PureHealth intend to design infrastructure that prioritises health longevity while creating resilient communities.

The initiative also seeks to connect healthcare with real estate to improve health outcomes, enhance residents’ quality of life, and strengthen Abu Dhabi’s position as a global hub for life sciences, innovation, and sustainable development.
