Jamjoom Pharma partners with Bioventure Healthcare to commercialize Ustekinumab in UAE

UAE—Jamjoom Pharma has partnered with Bioventure Healthcare (BVH), a subsidiary of Mubadala Bio, to commercialize ustekinumab in the United Arab Emirates, expanding its role in specialty medicines and strengthening access to pharmaceutical treatments.

Under the agreement, Jamjoom Pharma will serve as the exclusive commercial partner for BVH’s ustekinumab product in the UAE.

The company will oversee commercialization activities and engage healthcare professionals in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.

Expanding specialty pharmaceutical access

The partnership combines BVH’s pharmaceutical portfolio and quality capabilities with Jamjoom Pharma’s established commercial network and experience in engaging healthcare professionals across the UAE and the wider Middle East and Africa (MEA) region.

Ustekinumab is a monoclonal antibody used to treat certain immune-mediated inflammatory conditions, including plaque psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis, Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis.

Its commercialization in the UAE will depend on the product’s approved indications, regulatory status and applicable prescribing requirements.

By taking responsibility for commercial operations, Jamjoom Pharma will provide a local route to market for BVH’s product, drawing on its regional presence and relationships with healthcare providers.

The arrangement also allows BVH to leverage an established commercial partner as it develops its presence in the UAE pharmaceutical market.

Both companies have identified improved patient access to specialty care and support for the UAE’s healthcare ecosystem as priorities for the collaboration.
