Thumbay Healthcare launches Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Unit and Royale Presidential Suite in Ajman

UAE—Thumbay Healthcare has expanded its specialist care and premium patient services with the opening of two new facilities at Thumbay Medicity in Al Jurf, Ajman.

The healthcare group officially inaugurated a new Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) unit at Thumbay Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Hospital, alongside the Royale Presidential Suite at Thumbay University Hospital.

The ceremony took place on April 22, 2026, in the presence of H.E. Yousef Mohammed Ali Al Nuaimi, Deputy Chairman of Emirates Health Services (EHS), who formally opened both facilities.

Following the ribbon-cutting ceremony, Al Nuaimi toured the newly launched units with Akbar Moideen Thumbay, Vice President of the Healthcare Division at Thumbay Group.

During the visit, he inspected the HBOT chamber, viewed the Royale Presidential Suite, and met members of the clinical team.

Speaking during the event, Al Nuaimi praised Thumbay Group’s continued role in strengthening healthcare and education in the UAE.

He said he was pleased to see the organization’s growth in both sectors and reaffirmed the support of Emirates Health Services for its future efforts.

New Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy services

The newly launched HBOT unit introduces an advanced treatment option designed to support faster healing and recovery.

The therapy is commonly used for chronic wounds, diabetic foot ulcers, radiation injuries, and recovery after surgery.

These include stroke recovery, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, post-concussion syndrome, sleep disorders, learning difficulties, and cerebral palsy.
