The campaign combines Aster Clinics’ healthcare services with Nezo Salt’s consumer and retail network to encourage women to seek medical advice and prioritise breast health.

UAE—Aster Clinics and Nezo Salt have launched a month-long breast cancer awareness campaign across the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, and Oman from 1 to 31 October 2026 to promote early detection and improve access to breast health checks.
The campaign combines Aster Clinics’ healthcare services with Nezo Salt’s consumer and retail network to encourage women to seek medical advice and prioritise breast health.
It also offers free physical breast examinations and discounted diagnostic consultations at participating Aster Clinics.
Breast cancer remains a regional health concern
Breast cancer is the most frequently diagnosed cancer in the UAE, accounting for 21.4% of new cancer cases, with 1,030 diagnoses reported.
Women in the country are also frequently diagnosed in their early 40s, highlighting the need for greater awareness and timely medical assessment.
Dr Sherbaz Bichu, CEO of Aster Hospital and Clinics in the UAE, Oman and Bahrain, said early detection and timely intervention could improve breast cancer outcomes.
He noted that women and, in some cases, healthcare professionals may overlook warning signs, reinforcing the importance of recognising changes in the breast and seeking medical advice when concerns arise.
Through the partnership, Aster Clinics aims to help women access appropriate breast health assessments, while Nezo Salt will use its consumer engagement channels to extend awareness beyond traditional healthcare settings.
Ms Pujha Patankar, Marketing Manager at Nezo Middle East, said the collaboration would bring breast cancer awareness messages into everyday consumer environments and make initial breast health checks more accessible.
She added that retail activities, consumer sampling and joint wellness talks would encourage women to take a proactive approach to their health throughout the year, rather than limiting awareness to October.
Retail outreach and screening access
Nezo Salt will promote the campaign through several consumer-facing activities, including sampling 10 g salt packs through Noon Minutes and in-store promoters.
The initiative will also feature branded displays in major hypermarkets, consumer activations and wellness talks organised jointly with Aster Clinics.
Co-branded campaign materials will direct women to Aster Clinics for breast examinations and further medical assessment where necessary.
The activities are designed to integrate health information into routine shopping and consumer interactions, potentially reaching women who may not otherwise engage with dedicated awareness programmes.
Aster Clinics will provide screening services across all four participating markets. Women can receive a free physical breast examination at participating clinics.
A consultation involving breast ultrasound is available for AED 149 (US$40.57), while a consultation involving mammography costs AED 199 (US$54.20).
These prices apply to the campaign offering across the four markets.
Doctors will recommend ultrasound or mammography following consultation, based on each patient’s clinical assessment and screening needs.
The campaign vouchers remain valid until 31 December 2026, giving participants additional time to access the services.
Digital registration and healthcare engagement
Women can register through a dedicated landing page accessed by scanning the QR code on Nezo’s campaign communications.
The page provides access to the campaign voucher, which participants can use to access the relevant offering at participating Aster Clinics.
The partnership reflects an approach to healthcare outreach that combines clinical services with consumer marketing channels.
For healthcare providers, such collaborations can create additional opportunities to connect awareness campaigns with medical assessments, while consumer brands can use established retail networks to distribute health information and encourage preventive care.
