Under the new structure, hospitals and clinics previously operating as NMC Oman will now operate under the Numa Health brand, while EMC will continue as a dedicated sub-brand focused on dermatology and aesthetic medicine.

The partnership traces its roots to 2009, when Vestergaard rehabilitated Emusanda Health Centre in Lurambi and transformed it into a community facility providing primary healthcare, maternal services, paediatric care, and HIV treatment.

The move affects services offered under the Primary Healthcare Fund (PHCF), Social Health Insurance Fund (SHIF), Emergency, Chronic and Critical Illness Fund (ECCIF), and the Public Officers Medical Scheme Fund (POMSF).

The ISO standard evaluates the entire diagnostic process, from sample collection to reporting, ensuring laboratories consistently produce reliable results.

Evaluators examined how the hospital manages patient care across multiple departments, including safety protocols, infection control, medication handling, and continuous quality improvement processes.

The Stage 7 validation confirms that Sultan City has implemented fully electronic clinical documentation, closed-loop medication management systems, advanced clinical decision support tools, and robust data analytics capabilities.

The project forms part of the Kingdom’s broader efforts to strengthen mental health services while expanding private sector participation in healthcare delivery under the Health Sector Transformation Programme.

The latest upgrades follow the recent arrival of advanced multi-energy radiotherapy machines destined for Mpilo and Parirenyatwa hospitals, part of a broader government initiative to improve access to specialised cancer treatment across Zimbabwe.
