WHO Regional Director for Africa Dr. Mohamed Yakub Janabi presented the strategy during a session chaired by Ethiopia’s Minister for Health, Dr. Mekdes Daba.

The technology, DoseMonitor®, connects with the hospital’s imaging equipment to automatically capture data on the amount of radiation used during procedures.

France and its partners supported the construction and equipping of the clinic before handing it over to the Government of Liberia, the Ministry of Health, and the County Health Team.

Previously, patients requiring tests unavailable at the hospital had to wait while their samples were transported to facilities in Mbarara.
