Under the partnership, ITWORX Education will implement Avicenna, its advanced Health Information System (HIS) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platform, across Global Medical City’s hospital ecosystem.

The platform debuted across the UAE, France, Germany, Portugal, and the UK, with additional international rollouts planned in the coming months.

Under the system, 2,100 cases were referred to Egypt’s psychological support hotline 16328, while 1,625 patients were directed to the national electronic mental health and addiction treatment platform.

Through this collaboration, ZEISS supports the development of innovative imaging applications, provides scientific training opportunities, enables expert demonstrations, and facilitates knowledge exchange among research communities worldwide.

The facility will include inpatient and outpatient psychiatric services, neuro-rehabilitation units, addiction recovery programs, and specialized treatment areas for mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and child and adolescent psychiatry.

The initiative builds on PureLab’s expansive diagnostic footprint, which includes more than 145 laboratories, over 1,400 licensed clinical professionals, and more than 50 accreditations across its testing network.

The expansion will also include upgrades to clinical infrastructure and medical equipment, enabling the hospital to deliver more integrated and specialised healthcare services while responding to rising patient demand.

Built on the Mayo Clinic Platform, the system operates within a secure environment where Mayo Clinic teams can access large volumes of de-identified patient data.

The new facility is designed to address the growing prevalence of sleep disorders, which remain among the most underdiagnosed health conditions despite their serious impact on long-term wellbeing.

The procedure, known as intraoperative pathological assessment using imprint cytology, enables pathologists to identify cancer cells within minutes.
